The Friendly Quilters of Bucks County

Join us for a colorful evening learning about The Friendly Quilters and their passion for renewing their ancestral tradition of quilting. The group’s African American heritage is reflected in the fabrics chosen for their quilts – some of which are story quilts depicting inspirational themes from the Bible and personal life experiences. The Friendly Quilters have exhibited locally in museums such as The African American Museum, Philadelphia Museum and Mercer Museum in Doylestown.

Robin Boyle shares her passion for the history of the D&R Canal. Robin’s efforts to honor the Irish immigrants who dug the canal culminated in a $100,000 grant to build the Bull’s Head Island visitor information center. Come learn about these unsung heroes – many of whom gave their lives in pursuit of the American Dream.

Grove Merchant Drum & Dance Ensemble

Join us for an exciting evening of entertainment. This percussion and dance ensemble plays instruments from different cultures around the world. Resident musicians for Princeton University's Middle Eastern Dance troupe, Raks Odalisque, the group arranges familiar tunes so dancers can perform with the fun and energy of live music. The ensemble also features traditional compositions as well as a fusion of musical traditions.
